Core Game Series

Game 1

Starting position

  • 1 - place your legs between the crooks of your opponent's knee
  • 2 - place a wedge on your opponent's back to prevent them move moving

Objectives

  • Top player -> mount your opponent and get to the armbar position, consulate the position for 3 seconds then reset
  • Bottom player -> take the top player's back
    • you can play around with different grips

      • seatbelt

Game 2

Starting position

  • 1 - elbow deep into their shoulder + grab their lat
  • 2 - chest must be outside and over their waistline
  • 3 - wrap your leg around the opponent's shin
    • you'll know your doing it right when the knee is flared
    • (crook of the knee wrapping over the shin of your opponent)

Objectives

  • Escaping player
    • Your objective is to:
      • maintain the back heel into the knee
      • walk your foot into your opponent to free up space so you can switch the hips
  • Attacking player
    • Your objective is to get your over the head of the escapee and get chest to chest contact

Common mistakes

  • 1 - Don't trap the bottom leg as well.
  • 2 - Only the top leg should have the knee flared

Game 3

Starting position

  • 1 - Burrito grip
  • 2 - Leg against the shin / ankle
  • 3 - knee shield

Objectives

  • Top player -> Guard passing
    • Remove the knee shield and get chest to chest contact
  • Bottom Player -> Octopus guard ๐Ÿ™
    • Get to the end result position from game 1
    • which means you need to use:
      • your burrito grip
      • knee shield
      • the forward momentum of the player advancing into you to gain access to the shoulder line and gives you the ability to grab the lat.
